In 1947 when Russell Dean Geary arrived home from serving in the Marines in World War II, his only goal was to find work.  With jobs so hard to find, he bought a used dump truck, which he rented out by the hour doing any hauling he could.  With this Geary Construction was born.

The reputation of Geary Construction is based on the quality of our work due to the expertise of our employees.  Our average employee has worked for Geary Construction for over 10 years.  This makes us very different from other construction companies, and we belive more competitive.  Our ability to keep well trained employees is the reason we are so productive and why we have such an excellent safety record.

1991 was a pivotal year for Geary Construction. DeAnn Geary, the daughter of founder Dean Geary became Geary's President.  DeAnn quickly became a respected member or the construction community as she expanded Geary Construction.  She became the first woman President of the Utah chapter of the Associated General Contractors, after serving on the board for 5 years.  DeAnn focused not only on excavation and trucking but began work on many State and Federal projects.
