THINGS WE DO WELL
Several years ago during a meeting with over 30 Geary Construction employees the group was asked, "What is Geary Construction good at?" This meeting was held independently of President, DeAnn Geary, to ensure accurate information was recieved, not just what DeAnn wanted to hear. Responses were grouped into the following top 10. These 10 items are worth celebrating and Geary Construction pays tribute to all employees who made them possible, as well as all of the other fabulous things we have done together in the last 60+ years.
1. We practice teamwork. We work well together as a team to get projects done on time and to meet our goals.
2. We handle change well. We are a very flexible company and quickly respond to customer requests and job changes.
3. We trust each other. We have confidence in each other, knowing that everyone will do their part to make the project come together.
4. We handle obstacles well. We demonstrate a can-do spirit with every challenge we are given.
5. We have a near perfect safety record. Our extremely low accident record is one of the finest in the nation and we commit to zero accidents every day in our safety meetings.
6. We are profitable. We have truly expanded our profitability in recent years, taking on larger projects, with greater efficiency.
7. We are proud of what we do for the environment. Hauling off mine tailings for reclamation projects is one of the things we do very well.
8. We are effective equipment operators. Nowhere does our reputation shine brighter than in our ability and skill to operate heavy equipment and in constant decision making to get the most out of our jobs and minimize costs for the customer.
9. We have great leadership. We know what is expected of us. We know where we are going as a company. We are growing as a company. DeAnn treats us all like family.
10. We can make a career here. DeAnn takes an interest in making sure we learn new skills to handle new equipment, to recieve outside training and to grow with the company.
